Enter/Manage Operators

In order to track the performance of each possible operator performing the feeding activities, in this section it is possible to create and edit operators.

The way the operators identification works is different for scales used with the TAP Feed mobile app compared to the actual display used during the feeding process.

  • The operator identification using the TAP Feed mobile app can be managed by binding a TAP user to an operator and the operator has to use his own credentials for the Feed App login and this way the feeding data is stored with the corresponding operator
  • On a display the userid option needs to be activated and a unique ID is assigned to each operator which needs to be entered before the feeding starts. The ID to be entered by the operator is the 'Operator ID' in TAP Feed.
From the main menu, select “Manage” and then select “Operators”.
  1. Click “+ New Operator” to add a new operator.

First select if the operator requires TAP Feed login credentials or will be using the TAP Feed mobile app. If either one is true, select 'YES'. If this does not apply to the new operator, choose 'NO'. Based on the choice made, the next step will be displayed.

YES: Select the TAP user created for this operator or create a new user. 
  • If no TAP user has been created for this operator yet, you can do so by choosing 'ADD NEW USER'.

With all required fields correctly entered, choose 'Save' and you will have the next step shown where the name of the user is pre-filled but can be changed. This is the name that will be shown on the reports in TAP Feed. Choose 'SAVE' to complete the operator creation. The operator will have to activate his account and set a password get access to the data in TAP Feed or the TAP Feed mobile app.
  • If the TAP user is already in the list, this can be selected and you will have the next step shown where the name of the user is pre-filled but can be changed. This is the name that will be shown on the reports in TAP Feed. Choose 'SAVE' to complete the operator creation.
NO: The operator is not linked to a TAP user and the next step shown is where the name of the user can should be entered. This is the name of the operator that will be shown on the reports in TAP Feed. Choose 'SAVE' to complete the operator creation. This operator will have an operator ID auto generated and this can be changed when needed, but has to match the userid this operator will use on the display.

Additional functions:

  1. Pencil: Click to edit the operator
  2. Trash can: Delete operator
  1. Name: Enter operator name used on the reports
  2. Operator Id: This operator will have an operator ID auto generated and this can be changed when needed, but has to match the userid this operator will use on the display.
  3. Bind registered TAP User: An operator that is not linked to a TAP user yet can be linked to a TAP user. It is possible to use an existing TAP user, or create a new one as explained in the create new operator section. It is also possible to unlink an operator or link to a different TAP user
