Feeding list

The feeding list is an overview of all active pens and allows you to make quick and easy changes per pen. Changes can be made for number of animals, daily requirement, total actual weight and the feeding factor percentages. 
 
i The ENTER and TAB keys can be used to use quick data entry using the keyboard, but final changes need to be confirmed with the ‘SAVE’ button.
 
Select ‘Feeding list’ from the main menu:
 
1.       No. of animals:
Click on the "Number of animals" in, for example, row one. You can now change the number of animals by entering the new value. With the ENTER button you can quickly proceed to the next row. Using the ‘Save’ button will save your changes.  
2.       Daily requirement %:
Click on "Daily requirement" in, for example, row one. The daily requirement can be changed by entering the new value. With the ENTER button you can quickly proceed to the next row. Using the ‘Save’ button will save your changes. 
3.       Actual weight/head:
The weight per head that will be fed daily. If the 'No. of animals' for the pen will also be changed together with the 'Actual weight / head', make sure to change the 'No. of animals' first and once this is set correct, make changes to the 'Actual weight / head'. If the 'No. of animals' is adjusted after the change in the 'Actual weight / head', this change to the 'Actual weight / head' is undone.
4.       Actual weight:
The total weight of the pen that will be fed daily. This value can be changed. Changing the ‘actual weight’ will also result in a change in the ‘daily requirement’
5.       Dry weight/head:
The dry weight per head that will be fed daily. If the 'No. of animals' for the pen will also be changed together with the 'Dry weight / head', make sure to change the 'No. of animals' first and once this is set correct, make changes to the 'Dry weight / head'. If the 'No. of animals' is adjusted after the change in the 'Dry weight / head', this change to the 'Dry weight / head' is undone.
6.       Dry weight:
The total dry weight of the pen that will be fed daily. This value can be changed. Changing the ‘dry weight’ will also result in a change in the ‘daily requirement’
7.- 8.       Feeding factor:
When a pen is fed multiple times a day, the feeding factors can be used to distribute the feed over several feedings. 
9.       Undo/Save:
When data is entered, you can restore to the original value using the ‘undo’ button up until you press ‘save’. 
 
i You can use the TAB key to toggle between "No of Animals" and "Daily Requirement".
 
Additional information
 
Depending on the items chosen under ‘properties’, different columns can be shown. 
 
1.       Previous day actual weight
When data is received from the previous day, the amount fed is shown per pen
2.       Previous day refusal
When refusal amounts are entered, the values will be presented here. This information can be used when scheduling the feedings of the next day(s)
3.       DMI 7 day average
The average dry matter intake of the last 7 days will be shown. Based on the average DMI, decisions can be made on how to feed the pens in the coming days
4.       Edit pen
When other data needs to be changed for a pen, you can use the 'pencil' icon.
  
Properties
Under ‘properties’ you can alter how and what data to be shown on the Feeding List 
 
 
1.       Sorting of the feeding list can either be done through the properties or by clicking on the header of a column on the grid
2.       You can either choose to sort by ascending or descending
3.       Columns to be displayed the feeding list can be chosen here
4.       When you want to save your changes for future uses, you can choose ‘Apply & save’
5.       If you want to use the changed properties only once, you can use ‘Apply’
