Send loads to mixers

The “Load Mixers” section allows you to make final changes in the loading and feeding order, before sending the feeding schedule, via USB, wireless communication or Bluetooth, to your weighing unit on the mixer or the FEED app.
 
When working with USB or Wireless communication, installation of the TAP FEED Agent is required. Go to “Enter/Manage Feed Mixer” for installation instructions.

Data Transfer:

1.       USB: Data is sent by means of the button ‘Send to mixer’. This button is available with both USB transfer and wireless transfer. 
 
2.       Wireless communication: Data is sent by means of the button ‘Send to mixer’. For data transfer to start, the button ‘Start’ is used. Data transfer can be stopped by using the button ‘Stop’.
 
Mixers that support both USB and Wireless communication have the option to select the ‘transfer method’.
 
3.       Bluetooth: Data will automatically synchronize with the FEED app. The refresh button on the FEED app is used to receive loads from TAP FEED and the loads will be sent to TAP FEED when the load is completed. 
 
 

Load mixers:

From the main menu at the top, select “Load Mixers”
1.       The tab “Delivery order” shows the pen deliveries scheduled in the different feedings including the weight per group and assigned zone 
2.       When premixes are used, this tab enables you to schedule the premixes accordingly
3.       The “Load list” shows the complete overview of loads that will be sent to the mixer
4.       “Download list” will provide a PDF file with all details in the load and deliver process
5.       “Deselect all feedings” can be used to quickly unselect all feedings and then select the feeding(s) to be shown in the Load list
6.       The arrows can be used to collapse all or expand all feeding periods
7.       With this checkbox, it is possible to select or unselect a specific feeding period. If you uncheck the box, the feeding period involved and its loads will not show in the load list
8.       The arrow can be used to collapse or expand a feeding period and show each individual pen delivery scheduled in this feeding period. 
9.       You can reorder the loads as required by Drag and Drop on the 3 lines
10.   Pro level. Rows coloured in orange and have the feed trough icon are related to recipes of the type ‘Add to base recipe’. If rows are coloured red, this is an indication that the link is broken 
11.   The three dots gives you quick access to details of this particular feeding. This gives you the option to change head count or pen recipe information
12.   Pro level. This shows in which zone a certain feeding is schedule. Go to “Manage zones” for further information regarding zones 
13.   The load number of the different loads. This is the order the loads will be listed in the actual feeding process
14.   The arrows can be used to collapse or expand all feedings to display all pens fed in the feedings
15.   The pen(s) that will be fed in the specific load:
-          If this is one single pen, the name of the pen is displayed 
-          If this is a combined load for different pens, the number of pens to deliver to is given and hovering over will show a frame around the groups on the left in “Delivery order” 
The arrows can be used to collapse or expand the group details of this feeding
-          If this is a premix, there is no pen to be delivered to and there are 2 dashes
16.   The total number of animals is shown. 
-          For combined loads, the number of animals per pen are displayed when the feeding is expanded. 
-          If this is a premix, there is no pen to be delivered to and there are 2 dashes
17.   This is the zone in which the recipe or premix is to be loaded
18.   This is the name of the recipe or premix is to be loaded
19.   The total weight of the recipe to be loaded in this batch 
20.   The calculated mixer size that will be filled. This is related to the density which is set in the recipe or premix
21.   The loads in the load list will be sized to fill the smallest mixer listed
22.   When a mixer is active that supports wireless communication, this button can be used to either start or stop the data transfer
23.   The button “send to mixer” is used by both USB and Wireless communication to send information to the mixer through the TAP FEED agent. Go to “Enter/Manage Feed Mixer” for installation instructions.
24.   Based on the selected mixers, these icons gives you the flexibility to either use wireless communication or USB. 
 

Reorder Loads

Feeding order can be easily changed in the “Load Mixers” screen.
1.      The drag and drop option makes it possible to change the feeding order in the load list. The loads will be optimized where possible and depending on the optimization settings in “Manage/Settings/load programming”
2.      When you drag a group to a new position in “Delivery order”, you can follow the position of the group in the “Load list” on the right hand side by the green line.

Premixes

From the main menu at the top, select “Load Mixers”
1.       Select the Premixes tab to schedule the premix amount and feeding period
2.       Choose the entry method to schedule the premixes. The entry method on kg allows you to schedule a fixed weight of the premix. The percentage entry method is based on the daily requirement that is needed in the recipes per day. A percentage of 100% means that all scheduled feedings that use the premix ingredient can be fed that day.
3.       The three dots gives you options to schedule or edit the premix
4.       This shows details of the premix such as total amount required to help schedule the premix
5.       The button “Schedule premix” is used to choose the feeding period and the amount or percentage to schedule the premix
6.       The Actual weight is the scheduled amount of the premix in a specific feeding period
7.       The Dry weight is the scheduled dry amount of the premix in a specific feeding period
8.       Based on the use of the premix in the other recipes and the scheduled amount to the premix, the covered requirement is calculated
9.       The arrows can be used to collapse or expand the ingredient details of the premix based on the amount of premix scheduled for that feeding period
10.   Total feedings shows the totals of actual weight, dry weight and price of alle schedule feeding periods of this specific premix

Premix warnings

If a warning triangle is present, hoovering over will give details of the warning. Warnings are shown when the total scheduled amount of the premix is less than total required amount.
 
 

Schedule premix

From the tab Premixes, choose a premix you want to schedule on the left hand side and press on “Schedule premix”
 
1.       Information on the requirement of the selected premix
2.       Use the “plus” button to schedule the premix in that specific feeding period
3.       When you have chosen the percentage entry method in the previous screen, enter the percentage of requirement you want to cover within this feeding period. 
When you are using the entry method on weight, enter either the actual weight or the dry weight you want to feed in this feeding period
4.       A scheduled premix can be divided over several feeding periods. The “split” button will split the current scheduled amount into half and will add this to another feeding period
5.       A scheduled premix can be removed by clicking on the “garbage bin” icon
6.       Total feedings shows the totals of actual weight, dry weight and price of alle schedule feeding periods of this specific premix
